Terms of Service
Effective August 23, 2026
These Terms are the agreement between you and SchoolOps. Using SchoolOps means you accept them.
SchoolOps helps you do your work. It does not excuse you from your school rules. You are responsible for what you turn in, and every school has its own policy on AI assistance.
Access keys are one-time purchases that expire. Nothing auto-renews, and nothing charges you again unless you buy again.
AI output can be wrong. Read what SchoolOps produces before you rely on it or submit it.
This agreement
These Terms govern your use of the SchoolOps web application at https://schoolops.cc, the SchoolOps browser extension, and the SchoolOps API. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use SchoolOps. Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.
Who can use SchoolOps
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use SchoolOps only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- One account per person. Do not share your account, and do not sell or transfer access.
- The information you give us when you sign up must be accurate, and you must keep your password and connected credentials secure.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.
What SchoolOps is, and is not
SchoolOps is a study and productivity assistant for students. It reads your coursework from platforms you connect, drafts and explains work, answers questions, builds study material, and can submit work back to your own account when you tell it to.
SchoolOps is not a school, is not accredited, does not award credit, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Canvas, Edgenuity, Google, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology, Moodle, MasteryConnect, or any school or district. It is not legal, medical, financial, or mental-health advice.
Academic integrity is your responsibility
Every school sets its own rules about AI assistance, and those rules bind you whatever this service can technically do. Before you submit anything SchoolOps produced, check your course and institution policy, and follow it.
- Treat SchoolOps output as a draft to review, understand, and edit, not as a finished answer to hand in unread.
- Where your school requires you to disclose AI assistance, disclose it.
- Do not use SchoolOps in a proctored exam, a closed-book assessment, or anywhere its use is prohibited.
- Do not use SchoolOps to do another person coursework, or to sell completed work to other students.
SchoolOps is not responsible for academic penalties, disciplinary action, or grade consequences that follow from how you use it. That risk is yours, and you accept it by using the service.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access an account, course, or platform you are not authorised to access, or use someone else credentials.
- Break, probe, or work around the security, rate limits, quotas, or access-key gating of the service.
- Scrape, resell, sublicense, or redistribute SchoolOps output as a competing service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the models, prompts, or source of the service.
- Use SchoolOps to generate content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes self-harm or violence.
- Automate the service beyond normal individual use, or run it for a group of people from one account.
- Upload malware, or use the service to attack any system.
If you tell SchoolOps you are in crisis, the assistant will surface crisis resources. SchoolOps is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line directly.
Your content
You own your content: the assignments, documents, writing samples, images, and prompts you bring to SchoolOps, and the output generated for you. We claim no ownership of any of it.
You grant SchoolOps a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content for one purpose only: operating the features you asked for, including sending it to the processors named in the Privacy Policy. The licence is limited to that purpose, and it ends when you delete the content or your account. It does not include training AI models on your content, which we do not do.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for the content of anything you submit to your school.
AI output comes with no guarantee
AI models make mistakes. SchoolOps output can be factually wrong, incomplete, out of date, mis-cited, or mismatched to what your assignment actually asked for, and it can be wrong while sounding confident. SchoolOps does not warrant that output is accurate, original, correct, or suitable for submission.
Review everything before you rely on it. Verify facts, check citations against real sources, and confirm the work answers the prompt you were given. Grades, scores, and any prediction SchoolOps shows are estimates, not commitments.
Connecting your school accounts
- When you connect a learning platform, you authorise SchoolOps to act on your behalf within that account, using your own permissions and no more.
- You confirm the account is yours and that connecting it does not break that platform terms or your school rules.
- SchoolOps submits work only when you direct it to, including through automation you switch on yourself. You remain responsible for what gets submitted.
- Platforms change their interfaces and their rules without warning. A connection can break, and a feature can stop working, through no fault of ours.
- Disconnect any platform at any time in Settings.
Access keys, payment, and refunds
SchoolOps sells time-limited access keys, not subscriptions. A key unlocks premium features for a fixed duration that starts when you buy it and ends when the duration expires. It is a one-time purchase. Nothing renews automatically, and no card is charged again unless you buy again.
- Payments are processed by Square. Card details go to Square and never reach a SchoolOps server.
- Prices and key durations are shown at checkout, and the price you see there is the price you pay. Prices for future purchases can change; a key you already bought is unaffected.
- Refunds: a purchase is eligible for refund if the request is made within 14 days of the charge and no more than five premium actions (5) have been used on that key. Approved refunds go back through Square to the original payment method. Requests outside those limits are still reviewed where a billing error, duplicate charge, or service failure is involved.
- Request a refund from Settings, then Billing, then Refund request.
- Free-tier access is offered as-is and can change or end at any time.
Filing a chargeback instead of a refund request may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is resolved. Contact us first, and most problems are solved faster than a bank dispute.
Availability and changes to the service
SchoolOps is offered without an uptime guarantee. Features are added, changed, and removed, and some ship as clearly labelled experiments that can be withdrawn. We will not remove a feature that is the substance of an access key you already hold without giving you a comparable replacement or a refund of the unused portion.
Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Any time remaining on an active access key is forfeited when you delete your account.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these Terms, abuses the service, or exposes us or other users to legal risk. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of an active key.
Our intellectual property
SchoolOps, its name, logo, software, interface, and documentation belong to us. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service. They transfer nothing else.
If you believe something on SchoolOps infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the work, the location, and a statement of good-faith belief, and we will respond under the DMCA.
Disclaimers
SchoolOps is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that output will be accurate or fit for your purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, SchoolOps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost grades, lost academic standing, lost data, lost profits, or disciplinary outcomes, whether or not we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid SchoolOps in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify SchoolOps against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of a school policy or a third-party right. This does not apply where the claim arises from our own breach or misconduct.
Governing law and disputes
Before filing anything, email [email protected] and give us 30 days to resolve the problem. Most disputes end there.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which SchoolOps is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes a right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection law of the place you live.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it.
Changes to these Terms
We update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect, and the effective date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use SchoolOps after that date means you accept the update. If you do not, delete your account, and we will refund the unused portion of an active key.
