Where Google Classroom hides your missing work
Google Classroom does show missing work across every class. Open To-do from the Classroom menu rather than from inside a class, leave the filter on All classes, and choose Missing. Work a teacher already marked zero has a score, so it drops off that list while still counting against you.
Google Classroom can show every missing assignment across all of your classes in one list. Most students never find it because it sits behind an icon rather than inside a class. Here is where it is, and what it does not catch.

The all-classes list
Open the To-do view from the Classroom menu rather than from inside a class. It defaults to all classes, and the Missing tab lists work you have not turned in, ordered by when it was due.
- Open Classroom and choose To-do from the menu, not from a class
- Leave the class filter on All classes
- Choose Missing to see what was never turned in
The other route, from inside a class
Within a class, Classwork then View your work shows the same status for that class only. It is useful when you already know which class is the problem and want the detail rather than the overview.
What the missing list leaves out
Classroom counts an assignment as missing when nothing was turned in and there is no score. Work a teacher already marked zero has a score, so it can drop off the missing list while still costing you exactly as much. Check your grades as well as the missing tab.
It only covers Classroom
The list is genuinely good and it stops at the Classroom boundary. If your school also runs Canvas, Edgenuity, IXL, DeltaMath, PowerSchool or Infinite Campus, none of that appears here, and each of those has its own place to look.

Where is the missing assignments list in Google Classroom?
In the To-do view opened from the Classroom menu, with the filter left on All classes, under the Missing tab. Opening To-do from inside a class narrows it to that class, which is why it is easy to miss.
Why is an assignment not in my missing list?
Classroom treats missing as nothing turned in and no score. If a teacher has already entered a zero, the assignment has a score and can fall off the list while still counting against you. Your grades page is the check.
Does the list include my other school platforms?
No. It covers Google Classroom only. Canvas, Edgenuity, IXL, DeltaMath, PowerSchool and Infinite Campus each keep their own record, and none of them show each other.
