If the connection stops working

Three things account for almost every IXL connection problem.

  • Not picking up - make sure SchoolOps is installed in Chrome
  • Progress not updating - finish a question on IXL, then check back
  • Wrong account - sign in with the IXL account your school gave you

How do I connect IXL?

Install the SchoolOps browser extension and open IXL as you normally would. It is picked up automatically, with no password to hand over.

Does SchoolOps work with my school's IXL?

IXL is one of the eight platforms SchoolOps supports. Schools run their own instances, so connect yours and SchoolOps reads whatever your account can see. If it does not connect, the network check page tells you whether your school network is blocking it.

Is any of this free with IXL?

Grade tracking, the calendar, assignment browsing, writing style analysis and ARIA chat are free with an account. Drafting, Snap Solve, practice tests, study guides and flashcard decks need an access key.

Will my school see that I connected IXL?

SchoolOps runs in your browser under your own account and does not announce itself to your school. Your schoolwork is never used to train models.
